"Speaking of Auburn and a lack of proof, Real Sports aired an episode aimed to expose the hypocrisy of College Athletics. Not sure the way I’d go about it would have been featuring four former disgruntled Auburn players with no proof or corroboration. (Not very well done - Mallory). They asked me to go on the panel and I declined… If a former Auburn player came to Sports Illustrated with allegations of booster payments the first thing we’d ask is do you have proof? If no we probably wouldn’t run the story… journalism 101. The public will expect something to come out of it, but they can’t drop the hammer if there is no proof."
